Ti Maria
You can't visit Ti Maria and not wish to return. Here, tradition meets modernity and together they present us with a place with many typically Algarvian references and surprising dishes that show the best of the region - octopus and seafood are present, of course!
It is impossible not to notice the tiles of this traditional Portuguese house, but the elements from other times coexist in harmony with the modern dishes that Chef Pedro Silva creates and shares with those who pass through here.
Ti Maria opened in May 2018 and quickly won over Algarvians and visitors alike. In Tavira, this is a restaurant that is more than what it appears to be - the well-cooked food, the tapas, and the gastrobar concept make Ti Maria a place to recommend.
The plates do not match with each other, and you get the feeling that you are in someone else's house (Aunt Maria's, maybe?), and when the orders arrive at the table you realize that whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing. For lunch, we tried the Chargrilled Octopus with sweet potato purée, and it was a very wise choice! Between tapas, daily menus, and a very complete menu, Ti Maria enchanted us with its concept, atmosphere, and flavors.
If you're in Tavira, you really can't miss the opportunity to have lunch or dinner here - you'll get to know Algarvian flavors surrounded by good energy.
Cool Tip:Ti Maria is an ambassador for Bohemia beers, which means that it creates special menus, in partnership with the beer brand, to be savored calmly and at an affordable price.
